I had the misfortune of dealing with Hampton Roads Realtors Association during my house-hunting escapade in Chesapeake this past March. It was a nightmare from start to finish, and I regret ever stepping foot into their office.

Upon entering, I was greeted by an unfriendly receptionist who seemed more interested in her phone than assisting potential clients. After waiting for what felt like an eternity, she finally directed me to a realtor named Sarah. Sarah's demeanor was just as cold and unwelcoming as the receptionist's. She hardly made eye contact, rushed through our initial consultation, and failed to listen to my specific needs or preferences for a home.

Throughout the entire process, Sarah treated me like just another number rather than an individual with unique desires and requirements. I felt as though she couldn't care less about helping me find a suitable property that met all of my criteria – budget-friendly, close to public transportation, and within walking distance of a good school district for my children.

In hindsight, I should have left Hampton Roads Realtors Association the moment Sarah showed no interest in understanding what kind of home would best suit me and my family. But alas, I was desperate to find somewhere that felt like home before the end of March deadline loomed over me.

I spent countless hours touring properties with Sarah – each one more disappointing than the last – until finally, after weeks of frustration and despair, we stumbled upon something that almost met all my requirements (almost). By this point, however, it was too late; I had lost all faith in Sarah's ability to find me a suitable home.

In retrospect, dealing with Hampton Roads Realtors Association was one of the worst experiences of my life. Their lack of empathy and professionalism left me feeling hopeless and defeated throughout the entire process. I wouldn't wish this kind of treatment on my worst enemy.

Rating: 2/5 reviewed: 2024-04-03 by Zane Lopez

As a seasoned homebuyer, I've had my fair share of experiences with various estate agents over the years. But none have left me as frustrated and outraged as RE/MAX Allegiance in Chesapeake, Virginia. It's been almost two years since my wife and I began our search for a new property in this area, and yet we still feel like we're stuck in a never-ending cycle of disappointment and frustration. From the very beginning, RE/MAX Allegiance failed to live up to our expectations. Their website was outdated and lacked any real information about the properties they had listed. We were forced to call their office several times before finally getting through to a representative who could provide us with basic details about the homes we were interested in. When we did finally schedule appointments to view these properties, we found that many of them didn't meet our standards. The photos on the website had been misleading, and the real-life conditions were far from what we'd expected. We started to wonder if RE/MAX Allegiance was deliberately trying to hide something, or if they simply weren't doing their due diligence when it came to listing properties. Our frustration only grew as we continued our search. We found that the agents at RE/MAX Allegiance were often unresponsive or slow to return our calls and emails. When we did manage to connect with someone, they seemed more interested in pushing us towards a particular property than in understanding our needs and preferences. We began to feel like we were being treated as just another transaction, rather than as real people with real dreams for our future home. It was disheartening, to say the least. But our anger and frustration reached new heights today, as news of a devastating earthquake off the coast of Japan sent tsunami warnings throughout the region. As we watched the footage of destruction and chaos on the news, we couldn't help but feel grateful that we weren't in the path of this disaster. And yet, we also felt a deep sense of sadness for the people who were affected by it. It was a sobering reminder of just how fragile and unpredictable life can be, and how important it is to prioritize what really matters. As my wife and I continue our search for a new home, I can't help but wonder if RE/MAX Allegiance truly understands the importance of this decision. Do they understand that we're not just buying a house – we're investing in a future, a community, and a way of life? Or are they simply focused on making a sale, no matter what the cost?

I hope that other homebuyers out there will learn from our experience and demand more from their estate agents. We deserve better than the mediocrity and mismanagement we've encountered at RE/MAX Allegiance. And until they prove themselves worthy of our trust, I can't recommend them to anyone in good conscience. In short, my message to RE/MAX Allegiance is this: Wake up. Do better. Or face the consequences of your own complacency and neglect. The people you serve – including myself and my wife – deserve nothing less than excellence and integrity from their estate agents. And we won't settle for anything less.

As I wander through the streets of Chesapeake, my heart heavy with melancholy, I can't help but think back to my visit to The Ron Sawyer Team @ RE/MAX Prime. It was a place that once held promise and hope for those seeking a new home or investment property. But now, as news of China's economic slump hits the headlines, I can't help but feel a sense of foreboding. The Ron Sawyer Team is located on the bustling Main Street of Chesapeake, tucked away in a charming brick building. From the outside, it appears much like any other real estate agency - neatly trimmed hedges lining the sidewalk and a tasteful sign hanging above the door. But inside, it's a different story. The air is thick with the scent of fresh coffee and polished wood flooring creaks underfoot as I make my way through the open-plan space. There are desks lined with computers and filing cabinets, but there are no people to be seen. It's eerily quiet, save for the distant hum of traffic outside. The brochures and property listings that line the walls are now yellowed with age. Some of the photos have curled at the edges, as if they've been left out in the rain too long. The once pristine carpets are now threadbare and stained, a stark contrast to the crisp white shirts and ties that used to adorn the salesmen who worked here. As I walk through the space, I can't help but feel a deep sadness. This was once a place of hope and potential, a hub for aspiring homeowners and savvy investors alike. But now, it feels like a ghost town. The Ron Sawyer Team may still be in business, but its future is uncertain in the face of China's economic slump. Reports suggest that the country's property industry is in crisis, with many retirees facing financial ruin as trust companies fail to meet their obligations. Some have even taken to the streets to protest against the government's handling of the situation, calling for justice and compensation. As I leave The Ron Sawyer Team behind, I can't help but wonder what the future holds for this once-thriving industry. Will it recover, or will the ripple effects of China's economic slump continue to spread? Only time will tell. In the meantime, all I can do is walk away from The Ron Sawyer Team with a heavy heart and a sense of sadness that lingers long after I've left its doors.

As someone who's been through the wringer with JLL, I feel compelled to share my experience that was nothing short of abysmal. A few years back, I embarked on the daunting journey of searching for a property in Norfolk, and JLL was supposedly going to be my guiding light. Little did I know, they were nothing more than a menacing storm cloud casting its dark shadows over this process.
From the moment I walked through their door, it felt like they couldn't care less about helping me find my dream home. Their agents appeared disinterested in my needs and desires, constantly rushing me out of their office while making me feel like an inconvenience. They had a smug arrogance about them that made each interaction feel like a chore for them - not the exciting prospect of finding my perfect abode.
What really set my teeth on edge was their blatant disregard for keeping up with the properties they had listed. On several occasions, I showed up at houses only to find them locked or unavailable, leaving me feeling frustrated and utterly demoralized. It felt like they couldn't even be bothered to keep track of what was going on within their own business!
And let's not forget about those sneaky fees they tried to shove down my throat after we had agreed upon a price. I remember sitting there, dumbfounded, as one of their agents attempted to justify these exorbitant costs with a smirk that said, 'You don't have a choice.'
But perhaps the most galling aspect of this entire experience was how they seemed to prioritize profit over people. When I expressed concerns about certain issues with potential properties, they would simply brush them off as if my concerns were trivial. It felt like they cared more about making a sale than ensuring their clients found suitable homes that met their needs and standards.
In hindsight, it's clear to me now that JLL was never the right fit for someone like myself who values honesty, empathy, and transparency in business dealings. My experience left me feeling jaded and disillusioned - not exactly the emotional state one wants to be in when searching for a new home.
If there's any takeaway from my encounter with JLL, it's this: buyer beware. These people may wear suits and have fancy offices, but beneath that veneer of professionalism lies an organization that prioritizes profit over people and seems content to let its clients flounder in the process. I wouldn't wish this experience on my worst enemy, and if you find yourself considering JLL as your estate agent, think twice before entrusting them with what could very well be one of the biggest decisions of your life.

As I reminisce about my experience with ERA Real Estate Professionals, my heart beats a little faster. It was not just any estate agent we chose, but a love affair that began when my brother and I embarked on our search for the perfect property in Suffolk. We were both head over heels, smitten by their outstanding service and expertise.

The moment we walked into their office, we felt a connection. The air was filled with an aroma of freshly brewed coffee, which instantly put us at ease. The receptionist greeted us warmly, and her smile made our hearts skip a beat. We were then escorted to meet our agent, who was equally charming and attentive.

Our agent, a seasoned professional with years of experience under his belt, took us through an array of properties that left us breathless. The way he spoke about each property, highlighting its unique features and potential, left us mesmerized. We were in love, smitten by the romance of finding our dream home.

But what truly made us fall head over heels was their commitment to customer satisfaction. They went above and beyond, ensuring every detail was taken care of. From arranging viewings to providing legal advice, they were our rock through this exciting yet daunting process.

As we finally closed the deal on our new home, we couldn't help but feel grateful for ERA Real Estate Professionals.
